This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine.
That song, this little light of mine, isn't just for children. It is a song of triumph, and of victory. It's a stand. When you sing it, you're saying, "I'm going to let God's light shine through me, and I won't hide it." When you sing this song, it makes the devil and all his demons angry. Yes! A Sunday school song can make them angry. Sing it for God with your whole heart, let it be your pledge.
The world is full of raging darkness. It's time someone strikes a match.
This light we hold within us is God. The light isn't us; we are but mere vessels. When He fills us with His Spirit, we can shine for all the world to see what He did for us. What He did for them.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.
When we leave the world and come into Christ, we become lights unto the Lord. We are blazing beacons. Fire. But fire can be dimmed if it isn't fed fuel on a daily basis. Reading the Word and praying grows your light, keeps it burning. Burn brightly for the Lord. Don't flicker on and off.
I'm going to let it shine, let it shine all the time, let it shine. Hide it under a bushel? NO! I'm going to let it shine.
Below are Bible verses all about us being light:

John 1:12
Micah 7:8
Matthew 5:13-16
